Assessment

If you’re exploring treatment for yourself, a loved one, or a client, the admissions process begins with a complimentary, confidential assessment by phone or in person with a member of our clinical staff. For teens ages 13-17, this assessment typically lasts about two hours, which can be spread over two days, if needed. For adults ages 18-35, this assessment typically lasts about one hour.  It’s our we can determine if a California OnTrack program at Pand Health is the right fit.

Start Treatment

After determination of eligibility, the admissions process is easy. Within a few days, we provide eligible teens ages 13-17 with treatment recommendations and our suggested services. All teen care is cost-free.

Adults 18-35 who are a fit for a California OnTrack program begin programming as soon as financial arrangements are confirmed. We help coordinate every step of a client’s admission and ensure our treatment team is aware of any special needs or preferences.

Cost-Free Care for Teens Ages 13-17

No family should face barriers to getting care. All services for eligible teens are fully funded through California’s Early Psychosis Initiative — making participation cost-free, regardless of insurance status.

Both in-person and virtual (telehealth) sessions are available five days a week during normal business hours for flexible access to care.

  • Be between ages 13–17
  • Be within 2 years of onset of psychosis

Comprehensive Specialty Care for Adults Ages 18-35

At Pand Health, our services go well beyond what is typically covered by insurance, and we are not in-network with any insurance providers. The cost of treatment varies depending on the program and the length of time. We provide superbills for families to submit to their insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement, which coverage and amount varies from plan to plan and is outside of our control.

We understand that out-of-network treatment can place a significant financial burden on our clients and their families. We have determined that this approach allows us to deliver comprehensive, cutting-edge care without the constraints of conventional coverage restrictions—ensuring our clients receive the highest quality support across mental, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains.

FAQs for Adult Program Payment & Insurance

Few specialized programs exist dedicated to helping people diagnosed with psychotic disorders like Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, or Bipolar I (with psychotic features). Below are helpful FAQs that can help reduce the stress of paying for adult highly-specialized services.

Do you take insurance?

We are a private pay facility, but we do assist clients in getting as much insurance reimbursement as possible for all eligible services. However, the amount of the reimbursement is at the discretion of each client’s insurance provider.

When is payment for treatment due?

Clients are responsible for payment of services upon admission, allow installment payments are due over time depending upon the program’s length and personalized services. Pand Health’s California OnTrack curriculum for adults ages 18-35 is an intensive program designed to be completed in 72 group therapy hours.  We offer many evidence-based services and programs in addition to the 72 group hour curriculum.  As such, the actual cost varies depending upon the services sought in addition to the core curriculum and the length of those services.  Every insurance company and plan has different terms and the client’s insurance company is fully responsible for making the decision on the amount and timing of reimbursement for our services.

Even though we are a self-pay treatment program, our team will complete verification of benefits, utilization review, all billing, and insurance appeals on your behalf.

How do I know if my insurance will provide reimbursement for treatment?

We work with all privately funded insurance plans through employers, individual policies, and healthcare exchanges.  We provide a free verification of benefits to help determine whether your insurance company is likely to provide reimbursement toward the cost of treatment.

How much can I expect my insurance to contribute towards the cost of care?
